Happy rainy Friday, everyone!
Are you someone who needs help but doesn't know who to ask?
Are you someone who gets 100 different opinions from 100 different people and it just makes your decision that much harder?
Are you someone who doesn't like to, or want to, ask for help?
Are you the person who self-educates and doesn't "need" help?
Whichever one you are, I have some news....we all need help every once in a while!
Just to start off this, I will go ahead and say, I am a recovering self-educator who doesn’t need help. And let me piggy back off that, which is almost the worst one to be. Sorry if that is you! But, we all need to have someone that we can turn to and ask for help whether it is life or in our business. Since this newsletter is for marketing tips, I am obviously going to focus on how this applies in business.
So, let’s get going on this. If you are business owner and you do not have someone who handles your marketing and advertising internally, with thorough knowledge of the industry, you need to hire a consultant! I am not a business owner, but I work with you and many others every day, and let me tell ya…. YOU ALL WEAR TOO MANY HATS! I mean, I am impressed daily at how many things you can juggle in 24 hours. And yes, 24 hours because I know business owners lack sleep!
Having someone who solely handles your marketing and advertising will help you in more ways than you can imagine. And this is whether you hire someone within your company, or hire a third party company/person to help. Having someone who can focus on what your marketing goals are, what will help grow your company, help balance an advertising budget and what is most beneficial for your company is a necessity. Because let’s face it, every rep that sells advertising, including myself, believes in what we sell. So, when we come to talk to you about our advertising options, we are so passionate about what we sell that of course it sounds like a great idea! And I hope that most reps will do research ahead of time on if their products will actually grow your business, but some don’t. That is where having someone internally with a game plan will help you the most.
When you have someone who focuses on the ins and outs of your company’s marketing and advertising, it will help you to grow your business in a more strategic manner and probably also save you some money! I mean think about it, when you started your company you had a vision, probably a thorough vision of plans and steps to take you through retirement. Then, you implemented maybe the first 5 steps and the business was booming and that plan you have had, well you’re just trying to juggle what you are doing now that you can’t even think about it or even remember what was supposed to come next. A marketing and advertising consultant or internal manager will assist in managing the growth of your company by knowing when and how to keep your business on your game plan.
This newsletter may have seemed very bland today, but I hope that it made you realize a few things.
1. Asking for help is not a bad thing, most times, it is what we need most.
2. I am amazed at all the things you do as a business owner. It is truly inspiring to see.
3. Hiring a marketing and advertising person for your company, or a third party company, to handle that area of the business for you will only help you! It will be one thing to take off your plate and free you up for other things, but it will also help to set a plan and stick to the plan to grow and prosper your business.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay dry!
Thanks,
The Billboard Lady
P.S. I do research your company and across the Lamar database for other companies like yours to make sure that spending dollars in Out of Home advertising is money well spent for you! If you ever want testimonials for your line of work, please ask!
